Sunny Energy, an Arizona-based solar installation and consulting company, has named electrical and solar energy engineer Bahram Emami, as its newest distributed energy resources (DER) integration project manager. In his new role, Emami will identify and launch solutions in advanced solar, battery storage, EV charging, DER aggregation and other resources that are beneficial to both consumers and utility companies.
Sunny Energy’s co-founder and director of operations, Joe Cunningham, served as Emami’s industrial advisor in ASU’s Professional Science Master’s Solar Energy Engineering and Commercialization program, where he graduated this August with a 4.0 GPA.
“Bahram’s final applied project at ASU involved the value of solar, and the value of solar plus battery storage, when connected to the grid in the U.S. Southwest,” said Cunningham. “He brings in extensive knowledge and will be a valuable asset to not just us, but the future of solar technology.”
